Anti-Korean sentiment
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Korean_sentiment

During the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake, widespread damage occurred in a region with a significant Korean population, and much of the local Japanese overreacted to rumors which spread after the earthquake.[18] Within the aftermath of the event, there was a common perception amongst groups of far-right Japanese that ethnic Koreans were poisoning wells, eventually setting off a killing rampage against Koreans, where Japanese would use the shibboleth of ba bi bu be bo (ばびぶべぼ) to distinguish ethnic Koreans from Japanese, as it was assumed that Koreans would be unable to pronounce the line correctly, instead as [pa, pi, pu, pe, po].[19] All people who failed the test were killed, which caused many ethnic Chinese and Ryukyuans, also unable to correctly pronounce the shibboleth, to be indiscriminately killed in large numbers. Other shibboleths used were jū-go-en, go-ji-ssen (15円 50銭) and gagigugego (がぎぐげご), where Japanese people pronounce initial g as [ɡ] and medial g as [ŋ] (such a distinction is dying out in recent years), whereas Koreans pronounce the two sounds as [k] and [ɡ] respectively.[citation needed]

wiki explains the photo that "Persecution of ethnic Koreans after the 1923 Kanto Earthquake"

but the victims on picture were japanese for all I know. they were not korean massacred victims, just japanese who were suffered death in earthquake. why korean decide prematurely just seeing suspensive proof?
they helped people, broke up the wreckage with sticks in 1923.

(mochi) i found the clearly original picture........and i realized that korean turned off the sign on the back of a policeman and a vigilante.....and spread the picture to the world.....

the edited poster on their back is written that "pls don't touch..... ", you can find that the place was space for dead bodies dig up into from collapse building.....as seeing the pictures with carefully, the damage of the bodies are by crushing death, not be bludgeoned to death...
Koreans don't have scientific perspective. in Joseon era, Yanban;noble class played the citizens beaten to death, it may be that can not be helped.

Hyunsil Cultural Studies has published a pictorial record documenting the life and death of Koreans who migrated to the U.S. and Japan, compiled by the Overseas Koreans Foundation. The two volumes deal with 100 years of migration to Japan and the U.S. respectively and the Japan volume is the first pictorial record published here of a sometimes forgotten history, although pictures of early Korean emigrants to the U.S. are sometimes published by Korean American organizations.

At the time, media released information on the intensity of political pushing to Koreans, the massacre occurred for Koreans in Japan by igilante hunting out.

(mochi thinking) in truly some korean threw poison into a well in the earthquake, and they were cached by policemen.....the cut of newspaper on the right written that " 三百の鮮人 強盗強姦 横浜監獄を逃亡して" "300 Koreans rape and robbery they break away from Yokohama prison " ....Korean can't read Chinese character,so they can't understand their shameless history....
